Redbanded perch

The variable triplefin or striped triplefin, Forsterygion varium, is a triplefin of the genus Forsterygion, found in Australia including Tasmania and all around New Zealand in rock pools and depths down to 30 metres, in reef areas of broken rock with kelp.

The Redbanded perch lives in the demersal, marine, depth range 0 - 30 m environment.

The redbanded perch, Hypoplectrodes huntii, is a sea bass of the genus Hypoplectrodes, found in south eastern Australia, and the North Island and northern South Island of New Zealand, at depths of between 5 and 100 metres. Its length is between 10 and 20 cm. More
