Betta renata

The Betta renata lives in the benthopelagic, freshwater environment.

The Betta Renata is of the Waseri group but is different in certain characteristics. On the throat, this fish has a kidney-shaped black mark. Faint vertical black lines are on the dorsal and caudal fin interradial membranes. More

Betta renata can be housed in pairs, species tanks, and community tanks. Pairs can be housed in a 20 gallon tank, groups should be housed in a 55 gallon tank or larger. Pairs should be given cover such as caves and plants. More

Betta renata can be maintained quite successfully in a well-planted, softwater tank but to see it at its best a biotope-style set-up is recommended. More
