Nothobranchius virgatus Chambers, 1984 is the only species of Nothobranchius, which has been described from Sudan. It was collected in October 2008. From Ethiopia it is known from Gambella, Obela Stream, near the road from Gambela to Gog (J. Friel, pers. comm.). More
