Black-headed Canary - Its habitat is dry open scrub and grassland, edges of cultivation and suburban gardens.

Red-fronted Serin - This bird breeds in the Caucasus and the higher mountains of Turkey and Iran, with vagrants occasionally reaching the Greek Eastern Aegean Islands in winter. Outside the breeding season, it occurs in small flocks, typically seen searching through thistle patches. It is a popular cagebird, and escapes from captivity are occasionally found throughout Europe.

Principe Seedeater - The Príncipe Seedeater is a species of finch in the Fringillidae family. It is found only in Sao Tomé and Príncipe. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical dry forests and subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests.

European Serin - It is a small short-tailed bird, 11–12 cm in length. The upper parts are dark-streaked greyish green, with a yellow rump. The yellow breast and white belly are also heavily streaked. The male has a brighter yellow face and breast, yellow wing bars and yellow tail sides. The song of this bird is a buzzing trill, very familiar in Mediterranean countries.

Brimstone Canary - This species is found in in open, lightly wooded habitats, such as hillsides with trees or scrub and forest edges. In South Africa it occurs mainly in coastal areas, inhabiting coastal bush, shrubs along streams, gardens, and areas with rank vegetation. It is not truly migratory, but undertakes some seasonal movements.

 

Drakensberg Siskin - This species is sometimes considered to be conspecific with the Cape Siskin, Serinus totta of southern Cape Province, in which case the nominate western form is S. t totta, and the eastern form is S. t. symonsi.

 

Tristram's Serin - The Syrian Serin is prettily coloured with bright yellow and pale grey feathers. The eyes are large and are surrounded by a bright yellow ring. The beak is grey and the legs are pale pinkish-grey. It has a long trilling call, and may also chirp and twitter.

 

Tibetan Serin - The Tibetan Serin , sometimes considered a siskin of the genus Carduelis, is a true finch species .

 

Cape Siskin - This species is sometimes considered to be conspecific with the Drakensberg Siskin, Serinus symonsi of eastern Cape Province, western Natal and Lesotho in which case the nominate western form is S. t totta, and the eastern form is S. t. symonsi.

 

Brown-rumped Seedeater - Length 13 cm. This is a drab uniform grey-brown canary with a small white supercillium. It has a plain breast with white under the chin. The the uniformity of its drabnes means it's eponymous 'brown rump' is often not apparent.

 

Yellow-browed Seedeater - The Yellow-Browed Seedeater is a species of finch in the Fringillidae family. It is found in Malawi, Tanzania, and Zambia.
